Reception to Bandersnatch and series five was extra ambivalent. Linda Holmes of NPR praised Bandersnatch's complex design but criticised the narrative as well as the repetition of scenes. Holmes reported that the audience are not offered a cause to care with regards to the key character, Stefan.
